Andre Braugher’sBrooklyn Nine-Ninecostars have reunited to honor the late actor’s memory and the impact he had on their lives.

“Could not have described last night any better…!” Crews wrote in the caption, adding the series' beloved group catchphrase, “NINE-NINE.”

“We laughed. We cried a little. We reminisced. We laughed some more. Nine Nine Forever,” he concluded.

In December, PEOPLE confirmed that Braugherdied of lung cancer. He was 61.

The late actor was best known for his role as Det. Frank Pemberton inHomicide: Life on the Streetfor which he won an Emmy Award in 1998. He was also famous for portraying the no-nonsense Capt. Raymond Holt inBrooklyn Nine-Nineand picked up four Emmy nominations in the course of its run. In total, he earned11 Emmy nominationsin his career, including a second win for the 2006 miniseriesThief.

At the time of his death, Braugher’sBrooklyn Nine-Ninecostars honored his legacy in various statements shared to their respective Instagram accounts.

Crews, who who played Terry Jeffords, was among the first to pay tribute to Braugher on social media, saying he couldn’t believe the actor was “gone so soon.”

“I’m honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent. This hurts. You left us too soon," he wrote onInstagram.

The 55-year-old then praised Braugher for teaching him “so much” and expressed that he was “grateful for the experience of knowing you.”

“Thank you for your wisdom, your advice, your kindness and your friendship. Deepest condolences to your wife and family in this difficult time. You showed me what a life well lived looks like,” he added.

Lo Truglio also shared some of his favorite memories working with Braugher in a statement of his own.

“So many wonderful stories will be told about Andre but for now, all my love goes to his wife Ami and his three boys, who he loved very much and flew back every weekend from the show to be with," he wrote alongside a photo of Braugher laughing.

“We all know how powerful an actor he was, but even more, Andre knew exactly well his most important role and was deeply proud of it,” he added. “He spoke often about his sons, and knew how lucky he was to have Ami. I’m grateful to them for allowing us to share eight years with him.”

“I miss him so much already,” He concluded his post. “What an honor to work with a man who knew what it was really all about. I feel blessed and thankful. Miss you Capt Holt. Love, Porkchop.💔.”
