New reports suggest that Facebook is working on a personal assistant service baked into Messenger call Moneypenny . But unlike Apple ’s Siri or Microsoft ’s Cortana , this is n’t a practical helper — it ’s a real human service at the other oddment .
The Information reportsthat the raw service of process , know internally as Moneypenny , will allow users “ to ask real people for help researching and ordering products and services , among other tasks . ” Three source have draw the newfangled overhaul to the web site , explaining that it is currently being tested internally by employee .
It ’s not clear what form of features the service may include , but it does sound more consanguineous to a personal concierge system than rash of late digital personal supporter . Nor is there any suggestion of how complete the offering is yet — let alone how close to set up it might be .

There have , of course , been other attempts to make services like this work , include the like ofMagic . Presumably Zuckerbeg would be rely on sheer weight of be turn to make the service succesful , rather than initiate from lucre like competitors . Either direction , we ’ll have to wait and see .
