This move seems to be a reply to a growing rift between the government and Silicon Valley . DHS seems to want to lay itself as a technical school innovator , attracting engineers aside from the private sector .
At the same time , DHS wants to knead with Silicon Valley fellowship , to “ advertize info sharing and cybersecurity best practices ” as part of the Department of Homeland Security’sC3 voluntary curriculum .
