Lowry isn’t the first celebrity to discuss taking Ozempic for pregnancy weight loss, asStassi Schroeder did the sameback in June on an episode of theCall Her Daddypodcast. During the discussion, Schroeder revealed she thought about taking it after her first pregnancy because she “ate bone broth for dinner for six f—king months after I gave birth.”

Last year,Ania Jastreboff, M.D., PhD., told PEOPLE that semaglutides like Ozempic work in the brain and “mimic those hormones that are released from our intestine and our pancreas when we eat, then impact different tissues in our body” — ultimately making patients feel full earlier when they eat.
