“When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” Sánchez admitted of the proposal.
She added that Bezos, 59, had hidden the ring under her pillow and she discovered it as she was getting into bed.
As for wedding planning, Sánchez, who,like Bezos, was in the midst of a divorce from her husband of 13 years, Patrick Whitesell, when the two began dating in January 2019, told the outlet that she is taking things slow.
“We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged five months!”

She has some ideas when it comes to her dress, though.
The mother-of-three listed Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino as some of her favorite fashion houses, but insisted she hasn’t made any real decisions yet as far as a dress. “There’s so many incredible designers!” she said, adding, “Once I get a minute, I’ll slow down.”
Raymond also noted that “the diamond appears to be extremely white; based on a clarity commensurate with such a high color grade, I would estimate the cost for such an extraordinary ring to be anywhere from $3 million to upwards of $5 million depending on the exact specifications of the diamond.”

Days after Bezos popped the question, a source told PEOPLE thatthe couple were “on cloud nine — so happy and madly in love,” as they explored Spain and France together. “They have been in a great mood and are obviously enjoying their trip. When they first arrived in Spain, Lauren especially seemed giddy with excitement as they toured the yacht.”
The source added of Sánchez’s new jewel, “Her engagement ring is beyond stunning. And huge! She keeps playing with it and looking at it. You can tell she loves it.”

Since their May engagement, the pair have been jet-setting across the world and enjoying their time together.
Theykicked off the celebratory and romantic engagement trip in the South of Francebefore making a stop in Ibiza.
In August, theycelebrated their engagement officially with a soirée aboard Bezos’ yacht, which was docked in the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Guests includingBill Gates, Paula Hurd,Kris Jenner, STAUD founder Sarah Staudinger and Bumble CEO Whitney Wolfe Herdwere among those present to celebrate the soon-to-be husband and wife.
Later that month, they werespotted with Usher, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom in Croatiaas they continued their string of summer getaways.
