Macaulay Culkin’s star has come in.
The 43-year-old actor, who first gained fame over 30 years ago as a child for his starring role as Kevin McCallister in theHome Alonefilms, is set to become the 2,765th recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The group announced Culkin’s honor ina press release, revealing that the ceremony would take place on Friday, withNatasha Lyonneand Culkin’sHome AlonemomCatherine O’Haraslated to speak.
Ana Martinez, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer, said in the release, “Macaulay Culkin has been a staple in pop culture for decades,” adding that “he has an extensive trajectory of work, but his movieHome Aloneisone of the most beloved holiday moviesknown the world over.”
“How fitting that Catherine O’Hara who played Macaulay’s mother in the film is reuniting with her movie son and will be speaking at the ceremony!” Martinez added.

After making his big-screen debut in 1988’sRocket Gibraltar,Culkin went on to appear in 1989’sSee You in the MorningandUncle Buckbefore achieving worldwide recognition for his lead role in 1990’sHome Aloneand, two years later, its sequelHome Alone 2: Lost in New York.
Also among his childhood roles were as Thomas J. Sennett inMy Girl(1991), Henry Evans inThe Good Son(1993), Richard Tyler inThe Pagemaster(1994) and the title character inRichie Rich(1994). He even hostedSaturday Night Livein 1991, at age 11.
After nearly a decade break from acting, Culkin returned with roles in films likeParty Monster(2003) andSaved!(2004), and also appeared on various television shows.
While his screen work has been limited since his return to acting, Culkin had a memorable turn onAmerican Horror Story, starring as Mickey in the anthology series’Double Featureseasonin 2021.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Culkin is a father of two children with fiancéeBrenda Song: sonDakota, 2½, anda second child, whose birth Culkin’s fellow-actor brotherKieran Culkinconfirmed in March.
In a digital cover feature forEsquireearlier this year, Kieran — who played Fuller McCallister, a cousin of prankster protagonist Kevin, in theHome Alonefilms — recalled how uncomfortable the newfound fame was not only for his sibling but their entire family.
“Poor f—ing guy,” Kieran added in his conversation withEsquire. “He was little and havingto try to accept that level of fameas reality.”
Despite the downsides of fame, the siblings have both continued their acting careers since, as has their younger brotherRory Culkin.
Culkin’s star ceremony will be live streamed Friday at 11:30 a.m. PT/2:30 p.m. ET, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame’sofficial website.
